Hannah Harvey is a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London. She is currently working on Rob Hughes’ Leverhulme-funded project looking at perceptual-motor contributions to verbal sequence learning. |
Amanda Sjoblom is a third year PhD candidate, supervised by Rob Hughes. She has BSc in Psychology from Anglia Ruskin University and MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience from University of Sussex. Her research is focused on the roles of perceptual organisation and motor planning in verbal learning. |
Jasmine Virhia is a second year PhD candidate, supervised by Rob Hughes and Narender Ramnani. After attaining a BA English Literature and Linguistics from Queen Mary, University of London, Jasmine became interested in exploring the neural underpinnings of language and speech. In doing so she completed an MSc Language Sciences: Linguistics and Neuroscience at University College London where her interests in psychology developed, and is now exploring Verbal Short-Term Memory. Her research will focus on reconceptualising the processes supporting the Phonological Store and in using fMRI techniques she will explore the role of the cerebellum, supplementary motor areas and intraparietal sulcus. |
Alexandros Zouloumis is a research assistant at the lab. He has completed MSc in School Psychology, a BSc in Educational studies and this summer he is completing a second BSc in Psychology, Clinical and Cognitive Neuroscience. He is interested in clinical psychology and clinical neuroscience (fMRI studies etc) and in learning evidence-based approaches that can have a positive impact on the lives of individuals and especially on those who are experiencing mental health problem. |
